Morten "Krølltang" Trædal

Morten is out riding his mountain bike almost every day discovering new trails and documenting his amazing riding skills on his Instagram account @krolltang.
How do you use Trailguide before, during, and after a bike ride?
I use Trailguide on my computer or mobile to find rides that look exciting and add them to various lists I made in the app. This way, I always have a handful of trails ready for my next ride.
I use the heatmap to discover hidden gems. Trails that might not be published yet on the map. I also check user reviews to get an impression of the trails.
I like to import GPX tracks from Trailguide onto my Garmin Edge and "burn" the trails onto the map. This way, I can see multiple options at the same time while riding.
When I am done with a ride I add it to my "ridden"-list in the app. This way I can keep account of where I have been with my bike.

Where have you ridden so far this summer?
Telemark and "Sørlandet", the southern part of Norway. I have also explored many new
trails within a day trip distance from my home.
Do you have a favorite area?
I love exploring new trails and areas, so my favourite area actually change often. However, I keep coming back to Telemark because I've found so many playful and varied trails there.
Do you have any insider tips for more efficient use of Trailguide?
- Use heatmaps to find lesser known trails, both before and during the ride.
- Check for user reviews on the trails you plan to ride.
- Add trails to different lists, especially trails you want to try.
- If you're going on a road trip, create a separate list of trails along your route.
- Add your own rating to the trails you ride to help others.
- If you don't mind having your phone mounted on the handlebars, this is an even better solution than importing the trails to a GPS device.
